Thanks for using Cofounder. We worked really hard on it, and we hope it made your life a bit better. If it did, you’ll love what’s next even more.
Our mission has always been to enable anyone to start a company, and Cofounder 1 was a first but limiting step. We needed to think bigger and rearchitect our product vision to enable this. We also need to consolidate resources to deliver on that product vision, and as a small 9-person-team we cannot maintain multiple products at the same time.
To prepare for the upcoming launch of Cofounder 2, we’re sunsetting the original Cofounder product. We realize you may have data or conversations you’d like to continue on other platforms, so we’ve developed the following sunset plan:
- As of today, we’re disabling signups for Cofounder 1.
- On May 1, 2026 Cofounder as you know it will move to legacy.cofounder.co and you can export chats from the settings page under “export chats.”
- On May 4, 2026 we’re launching Cofounder 2 and you’ll get priority on the waitlist plus a special veteran badge if you sign up.
- On May 30th, 2026 Cofounder (Legacy) will be sunset.
